MATH 190

Every C&M student is entitled to take MATH 190 once. It is a 1 hour course which gives students extra credit for learning a symbolic mathematical computer language. In this particular case, it is expected that students will learn how to use Mathematica as the semester progresses.

If you have not previously received credit for MATH 190 you should take it now. You must be enrolled in a C&M class to sign up for MATH 190. If you drop this MATH 242 section, you will also need to drop the MATH 190.

You may enroll in MATH 190 through Uidirect. The section in which you should enroll depends on the C&M course you are taking. If you are currently taking MATH 242, you should enroll in section S of MATH 190. The call number is 04865.

I will assign grades in this course based on one homework assignment of problems usually given to students of the ordinary MATH 242 course. More details will be forthcoming.
