TITLE: "LARRY"

ARTIST STATEMENT:

LARRY is a video presentation of my musical process. LARRY to me represents the entity we all posess that makes us human. That is we are all LARRY one time or another. Philosophically I believe I am stating a relationship of our experience to our identity. Salvador Dali is quoted as saying "Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing." My music is somewhat abstract and I think it is hard to recognize a direct inspiration, but to me it's there and it's everything I am. My process for filming and recording this project is improvisational in nature, I had no idea what would come of it. The music has been created this one time and I don't feel I could duplicate it nor would I want to try. By doing this project I hoped to learn more about myself and document my process as it is right now. Although I wasn't sure where it would take me, I knew it would be LARRY!
