October 22, 2005 - King Tut Exhibit - On Oct. 22nd Phi Alpha Theta made the trek to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to view the King Tut Exhibit. The exhibit was amazing and we'd like to thank all those that attended and made the trip so much fun. In all we had 17 people attend, including family and friends

April 9, 2005 - Vegas Conference - Congratulations to Bill, Greg, and Morgan! We would like to thank the UNLV Psi Sigma chapter of Phi Alpha Theta for hosting the Southwestern Reagional Conference on April 9, 2005. Students from all over the Southwest participated in the conference. CSUSM's Alpha Zeta Chi chapter had a strong showing at the conference with 5 presenters as well as several members who came for moral support. 3 of our presenters papers won in their individual catagories!

November 18, 2004 - Special Thanks To David Faber - Holocaust Survivor David Faber spoke at CSUSM on Thursday, November 18. David Faber, the author of Because of Romek: A Holocaust Survivor's Memoir, captivated an audience of over 140 people in ACD 102 as he recounted his experiences during the Holocaust. Mr. Faber witnessed the murder of his parents, his brother, and five of his sisters, but managed to survive the ordeal of eight different concentration camps before being liberated by allied soldiers. His personal testimony brought many in the audience to tears and put a human face on one of the most tragic events in modern world history. At the same time, Mr. Faber's story offered an inspirational account of the heroism of his brother, his own struggle to survive, and his fierce conviction that it is only through remembrance of the Holocaust that we can prevent such atrocities from occurring in the future. Phi Alpha Theta and the History Club are proud to have sponsored this event and thank Mr. Faber for sharing his experiences and his wisdom with our campus community.

Boots on the Ground - Special thanks to the "Troops" - Phi Alpha Theta would like to extend a special thank you to the participants of the "Boots on the Ground" Iraq Forum. Captain James Mullin, 1st Lieutenant Cathy Harrington, Staff Sergeant Christopher Kiefer and Mrs. Morgan Copeland-McCorkle spoke about their experiences of the war in Iraq.
