Math Club Meeting Notes 03/07/07

Math Club,
Here are the notes from the meeting today.

Notes:
We would still like to initiate some kind of Discrete Math study
session. We will proceed with trying to put something together.
One possibility would be to coordinate with Maureen in the Math Lab
and if we could provide the funding, could she coordinate a 370 tutor
to be in the math lab.
Another thing we would like to do for this effort would be to post Dr.
Kundgen's Math 370 lecture notes (pdf format) on the math club website
(pending his approval, of course).

Shirts:
The shirts have been put on hold temporarily since the school will not
allow us to use the school logo on them. We will try to have Dr.
Fierro request the vector-format logo so that they can see that
indeed, we really are affiliated with the university.

Events:
Every second Wednesday of the month, we would like to have some fun
out on the lawn in front of the library. Frisbee or tossing around a
football perhaps. We'll see next week! We'll get an A-frame

More Tennis Please - Fridays after the SOC meeting, tennis:
contact Daniel @ licht004@csusm.edu for more info.

We are planning to participate in the Cougar Pride Rally:
We are having our Annual Cougar Pride Rally on Monday, April 9 during
UHour. It will be held in Library Plaza. We will be having music, food,
performances, etc... We would love to have your student org to come
repressent. This event will be sponsored by ASI, so if you would like to
have a table out to promote your student org, please email me by March 12.

Tutoring:
Our Tuesday night tutoring effort is going great. We've had several
fellow students show up each week for math help.Tuesdays from 7:00 pm
to 8:00 pm, at the Village in the UVA classroom.
