Democrats Sweep The Senate and the House On November 7th, America voted the Democratic Party into a majority of the seats in the Senate and the House of Representatives. The House was a huge victory with the Democrats holding 231 and the Republicans only holding 197 seats. The Senate is a very close margin - Democrats at 51 and Republicans at 49 seats. That was close! Dick Cheney almost was the tie-breaking vote. (and we all know how he decides a tie!) Now there is already talk of reform and the Middle Class will soon be able to breathe again. The question of what to do in Iraq is one of the biggest issues and the Democrats will lead us back to a more stable position in world affairs.
