I have worked closely with Ysabel on many of her Textile Arts and quilts. I believe this particular work is an inspiration in itself.

Surfer's Rule |
|
The Spirit of Surfing has even taken over The World of Quilting. Student Ysabel Minnick, completed this project in the Summer of 2000. She used a fusible web technique to capture the moment. A fine detailed fabric intensified the cowabunga road out of the curl. See more of Ysabel's work in the Student Gallery.

Cranes |
|
Inspired by Kumiko Sudo's book, Harmonies and Hurricanes, I fussy cut 100's of pieces to make this textile art, and then did several other projects using the same process.

| Detailing the cranes, I've been very inspired by the Thousand Crane legion. The story goes that if you make 1,000 origami cranes your wish will be granted. |
