Stack and Whack
Stack and Whack is based on the book by Bethany S. Reynolds,
and Stack and Whack is the quilt communities craze in North County
San Diego. There is enthusiasm and wonderment over the designs produced
by this method. I have selected a variety of full shots and close ups.
From "Sew Much Better", Mary's Crane Stack and Whack is a quilt in progress.
The black background makes the quilt dramatic, stellar, and projects a
continuous flow. The crane was fussy cut and used in alternating
blocks. Take a look a Marys' fabrics at Sew
Much Better.
Kelly's Stack and Whack is both subtle and delicate.
This was her first quilt and it is truly a masterpiece. The blue/yellow/white
paisley fabric made soft beautiful designs. Chattily Lace Machine
Quilting was done by Madams Q.
