This page is a mere convenience for me; whenever I need an Umlaut to spell somebody's name correctly, I just come here and pull it over to
where ever I need it (using the mouse). Alternatively the following
ALT+four digit code (on a windows platform) gives the same result (thanks
to Andrew Coffman).
